Warehouse Operations Manager EU
Purpose of Role: To oversee warehouse operations in Rotterdam, including inventory management, inbound and outbound logistics, staff supervicion, ensuring smooth and timely order fullfilment, efficient stock storage whilst maintaining high standards and exceptionel Customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide excellent customer satisfaction levels for timely order fullfilment and delivery of goods.
* To manage the shipping of orders t customers within the agreed delivery service level and specifications
* Resolving any operational discrepancies and addressing customer complaints related to warehouse operations
* Leading, training and evaluating warehouse personnel to build a highperforming team
* Collaborating with other departments, such as customer service teams, demand planning, procurement and logistics, to solve potential challenges and find solutions to provide exceptional customer service levels and smooth operations
* Oversee receiving, storage, dispatch and maintenance of warehouse operations
* Utilizing warehouse management systems (WMS) and othe technologies to increase stock receipt, storage, kitting operations, pick efficiency and stock accuracy
* Maintain standards of health and safety, security and comapny internal policies and procedures
Key Tasks:
* To ensure safety checks are carried out daily/weekly/monthly as appropriate and recorded correctly
* To ensure quality checks are carried out daily/weekly/monthly as appropriate and recorded correctly
* Ensure all plant ans equipment is kept safe and legal and is only used by trained and authorised staff
* Manage the storage of any harmfull substances
* Ensure PPE is worn, checked and replaced as necessary
* Manage the stock cycle counting programme, reconcile & resolve discrepancies
* Ensure all stock transactions are recorded correctly ans in timely manner
* Record, track, lead investigations and corrective actions for customer complaints related to warehouse activity
* Ensure orders are picked accurately and processed within agreed service levels
* Ensure product is kitted & packed correctly and according to the needs of the customer specifications
* Ensure customer dispatch requirements are observed
* Develop systems to streamline operations to gain efficiencies and cost saving opportunities
* Continuously improve housekeeping and health and safety standards
* Closely manage last mile courier relationships to provide an effective service to the customers
* A flexibel approach is necessary and the ability to work beyond the business hours when required is essential
* Effectively manage, mentor and train the team of warehouse operatives as required
* Ensure preformance management requirements such as probation reviews and performance appraisals are carried out effectively and on time
* Managing and optimizing warehouse layout to streamline operations and maximize space utilization
* Monitoring and adjusting storage facilities and logistics solutions to fit with changing demands and seasonal shifts
* Overlook and support customer returns & warranty replacement processes in collaboration with quality and customer services department
Person specification:
* Demonstrable experience of running a warehouse, preferably in the high-volume order fulfilment sector knowlegde of operation systems and processes
* Knowledge of warehouse management software and databases as BC365, Tasklet Scanners, Last mile delivery courier portals
* Forklift truck, Articulated FLT or Order Picker licence
* Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction
* Decision-making skills, especially in high-pressure situations
* Flexibility to adapts to changing circumstances and priorities
* Strong organisational and multitasking abilities to manage mutiple priorities effectively
* Attention to detail in planning, execution adn follow-through
* Proven track record of achieving and exceeding goals and objectives
* Proactive, enthusiastic, and driven
* Flexibility to work beyond normal business hours when required
